Ben Giles is a multimedia journalist and lifelong resident of the Washington Metro area. That means he grew up a Baltimore Orioles fan, hates Peter Angelos and Dan Snyder, loves Ted Leonsis, and is often confused over his new feelings for the Washington Nationals.
And he thinks Alexander Ovechkin is Russia’s greatest gift to the United States.
He’s got an undergraduate degree from Virginia Wesleyan College (Fear the Fish) and a master’s degree from the University of Maryland (Fear the Turtle).
Ben spent the summer in sunny Phoenix reporting on a national investigative project for News21, where he also realized why Justin won’t shut up about Arizona State University. Admittedly, it’s awesome.
He’s been published by Comcast SportsNet, The Washington Examiner, and The Washington Times, and is back in the District figuring out what to do next.
